Chariot Canyon Companion Contests
Win a Prize! — Virtual Fiddle Contest — Virtual Literary Contest
Virtual Fiddle Contest
Identify the names of fiddle tunes and other references to music and song in the novel Chariot Canyon by Larry M. Edwards. There are more than 40 such references. Some will be obvious, others a bit more subtle or obscure.
Prizes awarded to the top five entrants—those who correctly name the highest number of references.
The contest begins on October 11, 2024, upon the official release of the book. The contest closes at midnight on December 31, 2024. The winners will be announced in early January 2025.
Send your contest entry via email to the email address listed at the front of the book (print and ebook). In the Subject line, write: Virtual Fiddle Contest.
The entry must cite each reference and the number of the page on which the reference appears.* Entries will receive bonus points for providing additional details regarding a reference, such as composer, songwriter, or performing artist, or trivia about the item. These bonus points will be used as a tiebreaker in the event of a tie.
Participants are encouraged to enter the Virtual Literary Contest as well.
Grand Prize Winner: The entrant who has the most correct responses in both the Fiddle and Literary contests will receive a special prize.
[* This does not include any references in front matter or back matter, only within the story itself.]
