Larry "Friar" Edwards, Chuck "Capt. Strummer" Preble and Mike "Hat Man" Robinson are members of the Corps of Rediscovery, a group of dedicated living history reenactors specializing in the time period 1740 to 1840.
Dressed in period costumes, Friar and Strummer play authentic music of the 18th and early 19th centuries on fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and tin whistle. They portray mountain men, members of the Lewis & Clark expedition (including Pierre Cruzatte, the one-eyed fiddler), colonials, Revolutionaries and pirates.
Heritage performs regularly at San Diego-area mountain man rendezvous as well as historical encampments, schools, museums, festivals, fairs and special events.
