The Gut Bucket Jam is an open session for acoustic stringed instruments, with an emphasis on old-time fiddle and dance tunes, bluegrass and classic country songs, as well as an eclectic mix of other styles. The typical instrumentation includes fiddles, guitars, mandolins, banjos, doghouse bass, piano and, of course, the gut bucket.
Emma's Gut Bucket Band performs for the general public, seniors' organizations, veterans, convalescents, charitable fund-raisers and such. The band plays for free, but accepts donations (tax deductible), which go into a fund to buy instruments and musical accessories for students, veterans and other deserving individuals or organizations.
